Simple Member Posting Facility
Whether you use a desktop; laptop, tablet or a smartphone, all members of the library can now submit a simple post ready for review by one of the library’s editorial team in five easy steps.
Do you have something to say or share with the membership or maybe you know a good restaurant you would like to recommend, how about an item of furniture you have going spare that you would like to move on or a compressor for sale etc. Here you can also communicate with the membership via the Message Centre with a private message to ask for details on the items advertised or announced via a post.
Maybe you even have a gem of important expat info to share with the membership or the local community.. Then this equivalent of a blackboard is for you..
However of course this is limited to the membership and you will have to be a library member to use these facilities. You can register via the library registration page here if you are considering becoming a new member.
So what are we are talking about? This is a simple way to create a user submitted page on the website without comments and not like Facebook, but just to share simple information amongst the membership, you can check out an example here.
This requires a title, some text content, one picture of your choice and some tags for reference and that’s it. Guiding step by step instructions can be read as you create your own personal post for submission, additional assistance can be requested via the site support contact form if required under the members area.
Every post once published has a button at the bottom to communicate with the post author via the private Message Centre. The message centre is a way to communicate amongst the membership without having to know the personal details of the member. This again can only be used once logged in.
Additionally when you login you will have access to:
- User Submitted Post… The ability to create a simple blog page on the website.
- Message Centre… Use this for private message streams to any library member or within a group, with the ability to reply to a message via the email prompt without logging in.
- Members Page… At the beginning of the members page there is a very basic instructional PDF on how to use the message centre and view historical posts.
- Members details… Here you can administer and update all your own personal details and see or delete any previous contact form submission made while logged in.
Access to the posting facility can be made via the button below or by the members area dropdown on the main menu (user submitted post).
Don’t be shy, don’t hesitate to give it a try, the editorial team are awaiting your post for review..
