Good Read for February

  • Review – Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society.

An interesting and unusual short novel. It tells the stories of several Guernsey residents during the German occupation of WW2.   The book is in the form of letters sent to the author by the Channel Islanders. It shows what life was like during that time, sad , funny at times but always keeping their literary interests alive despite the hardships they faced .

The book has since been made into a film.
